The drive over to the party was eventless. Only because I somehow managed to keep my hands to myself and not buried under my nanny’s dress taking her soft, sweet pussy into another orgasm.

Seeing her standing so close to Steven, the biggest damn playboy partner of our law firm, has me gripping the tumbler in my hand and my jaw clenching.

He’s the reason this whole bet started in the first place. Two weeks ago all five very single partners of Sterling & Brigs shared a bottle of aged whiskey after a successful win in the courts. Somehow the conversation about settling down and finding happiness came up. One simple statement from me saying Steven would never find a wife able to tame his wild ways and the bet was struck. A million dollars to the first one who could find a bride by Christmas. With a catch. The woman would get the money. That part I left out when telling Gracie about my little bet.

Since he showed up with an empty arm I won and so did Gracie. I might have had an unfair advantage and a few dirty tricks up my sleeve, but with age comes wisdom and I don’t like losing.

I hand off my drink to the wait staff and make my way across the room just as the small orchestra kicks up a slow waltz.

Perfect.

“May I have the pleasure of this dance with my fiancée?” I say the words I truly wish were real. Cliché as the fake fiancée route is.

I shoulder between Steven and Gracie, uncaring of who is watching. And believe me, there’s not an eye in the place that’s not fixated on the most eligible bachelor of New York asking to dance with the most beautiful woman in the room.

A mesmerizing pair of blue eyes land on mine and it’s like the first day of seeing her in my chambers asking about the nanny position to my niece all over again.

My heart seizes in my chest and I wonder how the hell I came to be so lucky.

I honestly don’t fucking know how I lasted a year without getting her in my bed and claiming her as mine.

The fact I’m more than a decade older than her plays a big role but I can’t honestly say it was the driving force behind keeping my control in check.

Fuck. From the way she's been undressing me all night from across the room, I don't need it spelled out for me that she doesn't care about the age gap sitting between us either. Society might have something else to say about it and my law firm’s reputation might be on the line, but none of the people in this room or who will look at the pictures splashed across the tabloids in the morning, matter. Only she does.

“I’d love to dance.”

Her angel-like smile makes me feel like a dirty bastard as I slide our palms together.

I hear more than see Steven chuckles as I move Gracie out onto the dance floor.
